How We Work

From your first appointment to lasting results.

Every visit to Great Feets follows the same patient-centred process – designed to get to the bottom of the issue and keep you moving well.

01

We Listen

Your appointment begins with a conversation. We take the time to understand your symptoms, history, lifestyle, and goals - because the full picture always matters before we form any conclusions.

02

We Diagnose

We identify the underlying cause of your concern, not just what's presenting on the surface. This often involves gait analysis, biomechanical assessment, and a review of your footwear and activity levels.

03

We Treat & Support

Your treatment plan is tailored specifically to you. We explain every step clearly and continue to support your progress over time, adjusting our approach as your needs change.

Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist?

No. You can book directly with Great Feets Podiatry without a GP referral. If your GP has referred you under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Please bring your referral letter if this applies to you.

What health funds do you accept?

We accept most major private health funds with podiatry extras cover. We process HICAPS claims on-the-spot, so you only pay the gap at the time of your visit. We recommend checking your level of cover with your fund before your appointment.

Does Medicare cover podiatry?

Medicare does not cover routine podiatry appointments. However, if you have a chronic condition and a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, your GP may refer you for up to five Medicare-subsidised sessions per year under the Enhanced Primary Care scheme.

What are your opening hours?

We are open Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book online through our Cliniko booking system at any time, or call us on (02) 9698 7707 during business hours. No referral is needed.

How long does a podiatry appointment take?

A standard appointment is typically 30 to 45 minutes. A biomechanical assessment or an initial consultation for a complex condition may take up to 60 minutes. Your podiatrist will advise you on the expected duration when you book.

Do you see children?

Yes. We see patients of all ages, including children. Our podiatrists are experienced in paediatric foot care, covering conditions such as flat feet, in-toeing, toe-walking, Sever’s disease, and general gait assessment.
